This week in Reading Street my 2nd graders will be reading the story, The Night the Moon Fell. We are also observing the moon each evening for homework, so this story goes along very well with our moon project. The pattern for this week is compound words. Here is my weekly game that I created to go along with the phonics pattern.
Here is also a trifold on the story that Cary Short created.
I hope you enjoy them and have a great week!

I may have already told you this, but I love the games you create! We use Reading Street too but it must be a different year because some of our stories are different. However, they usually have the same skill so I can still use your game boards. Thanks for sharing. I'm new to blogging so would you mind to follow me? Thanks!

Hi Jamie,
ReplyDeleteWe do have the newer version of Reading Street. It has 10 different stories from the original Reading Street. It kind of makes things a little frustrating. For example unit 4 has 1 story that is the same and all of the others are different. But like you said, most of the skills are the same.
